Savoury & spicy roasted almonds are a quick and easy to make savoury nibble. There is nothing quite like the smell of roasting nuts emanating from you kitchen! But be sure to keep a close eye on them – by the time they smell burnt, it’s usually too late.
I’ve used almonds but cashews, pecans, walnuts, macadamia’s or mixed nuts would all work well too. Serve to party guests, enjoy as a snack or give them to someone as a tasty homemade gift…

- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon cumin
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- black pepper, to taste
- Place all the ingredients in a mixing bowl and stir well to coat the nuts in the oil and spices. Season with pepper.
- Place on the baking tray lined with baking paper and bake for 10-15 minutes at 180°C or until lightly golden. Toss the tray once or twice during the cooking time. Take care not to burn them.
