This week I went in search of healthier savoury snack ideas for my sister. She loves to nibble on something salty during the morning at work. She has been trying the recipes I found through the week (and sharing a little with me) and this is her favourite.
Popcorn is a nice savoury snack option as it’s a wholegrain, adding 3.8 g fibre per 2 cup serving. Jazz up yours with this fiery seasoning mix:
Spicy Popcorn Seasoning Mix: combine ½ teaspoon paprika, 1 teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon cumin and ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper and sprinkle over warm homemade popcorn, to taste (makes a heaped tablespoon of mix, plenty to store for later or share).
