The truth is, the human body is capable of digesting any food you eat at any time of day and in combination with any other food, despite many diet books, websites, e-mails, etc. claim. Fruits and vegetables are good to eat: raw, cooked, canned, frozen or fresh, AND on an empty stomach or with other food (i.e. whenever works best for you). If personal experience tells you otherwise, then, by all means, do what works best for you – the stomach is affected by stress and some foods cause certain people to feel uncomfortable. It is a good idea to work with your body to find the best formula for your health and well-being. For me the vital point is to eat enough fruits and vegetables.
